Orinda Kitchen
When our clients moved into their new home, the kitchen was mostly complete — appliances were in, and the cabinetry was in place. But the wall was entirely blank. We set about to create a fitting backdrop to the most used spot in their home, taking cues from how they styled the rest of their space.
We chose white zellige-style glazed ceramic tiles that sparkle and bounce light around beautifully. The light-oak floating shelves have the clean lines that the clients prefer while still adding warmth.
We also added additional layers of lighting. The wall sconces and the linear inscribed shelf lighting enhance the ability of this space to be tuned to suit the occasion — from bright and ready for a busy weekday meal prep to softly glowing for an evening gathering of friends.
