SW Hills Kitchen Remodel

Academic Project

This small kitchen renovation draws from the users’ lifestyle to create a space that facilitates not just the act of preparing meals but participation and entertainment. Ample circulation space and separate primary and secondary work centers allow the homeowners to share tasks. A wine cooler/bar closer to the dining room and a small breakfast area means friends can linger and engage as meals are being prepared. A wall of glass allows uninhibited views and also connects the small balcony to the inside making it a much more inviting space despite its narrow dimensions.
